Acceptable Use

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of the Honoot app and website (the "Platform") and forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Purpose
This AUP sets out what you may and may not do when using the Platform, to keep it safe, trustworthy, and lawful for everyone.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
2.1 Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
2.2 Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
2.3 Post or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory;
2.4 Post fake, misleading, or fraudulent reviews, ratings, or bookings;
2.5 Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform using automated means without our prior written consent;
2.6 Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other users' accounts, or our systems;
2.7 Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
2.8 Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform (e.g. denial-of-service activity);
2.9 Use the Platform to circumvent Honoot's booking or fee structure (e.g. contacting a Supplier directly to avoid platform fees after being introduced through Honoot), where a listing states this is prohibited;
2.10 Use another user's account without permission, or create multiple accounts to evade a suspension;
2.11 Upload content that infringes any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
2.12 Use the Platform to send unsolicited marketing or spam to other users;
2.13 Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform, except as permitted by law.
3. Content Standards
Any User Content you submit (reviews, photos, itineraries, comments) must:
- Be accurate and based on genuine experience;
- Not contain personal data of third parties without their consent;
- Comply with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
4. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or conduct that violates this AUP, report it in the app or email support@honoot.app.
5. Enforcement
We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:
- Remove or restrict access to content that violates this AUP;
- Warn, suspend, or terminate accounts of users who violate this AUP;
- Report unlawful conduct to law enforcement where appropriate;
- Take legal action where necessary to protect Honoot, its users, or Suppliers.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. A material change is notified in the same way as a material change to the Terms of Service.
